Review basketball game NBA 2K22: more extensive but also better? 4 weeks 20 hours ago #55296

Bright's own basketball fanatic Rutger tested the new NBA game from 2KSports: NBA 2K22. There's more to do than ever before, but does that make the game more fun? NBA 2K22 is at least five games  in one. You can work as a coach and manager with basketball, you can create your own player and play a career, you can play a match from the league, there is online street basketball, the WNBA has several game modes and that's not all. called. The NBA 2K players I know are either going for career mode, or MyTeam (gathering players in a fantasy league of sorts) or online street basketball, so these three modes are the focus of this review. The ParkAs in previous years, street basketball is slightly different from indoor basketball. Partly because you play 3-on-3 and therefore have more space, partly because all opponents in a street game are controlled by people and not by the computer. But also because 2K chooses to give street basketball more of an arcade feeling. The matching is very nice and in general you play against teams that are fairly evenly matched. Your player rating is not the most important, but more how smart (or stupid) you play. It's cringe-inducing when you're paired up with someone who doesn't defend and just wants to shoot three-pointers, but you can't escape that. Street basketball looks slightly better than last year, but above all you have the feeling that you have a little more control over what your player does. In previous editions you could get stuck in an animation that had to play before you could continue. That's much better in 2K22. MyTeamA number of new game modes have been added to MyTeam. For example, online you can play the game MyTeam Draft, where you first have to select a number of players that you do not have in your collection. That makes the game a lot more varied than before. 'The 100' is also a nice addition. You should not have more than 100 points total against in multiple games. Whoever is last (and has defended the best) wins. MyTeam is still doing everything it can to entice you to buy player packs or player contracts after purchasing the game. Unfortunately there is no improvement yet. MyCareerThe career mode where you create your own character and go through a storyline is completely new. In addition to your basketball career, you can also pursue your own fashion line and music career. The interactions you have with others are just not as funny as in GTA, but also not really believable. There are nice elements in it, but the game threatens to become a grind because of these additions. You can choose to skip all those extras, but it will take longer before you get a contract with Nike or another sponsor. You would like to have that, because then you earn more XP and you can improve faster. Scanning your own head via the app is still a dramatically bad experience. Usually the scan does not work, you need almost studio light for it. If you do, you will look like you have a serious skin condition. Or maybe that's just on my mind. ConclusionThe online basketball universe has been revamped: NBA 2K22 is out and anyone who enjoys basketball even a little bit can't ignore this game. It's more comprehensive than ever. Improvements have been made, minor annoyances have remained. But for 60 euros you almost nowhere get as much game as this.
